Ladan Mirbagheri Smith has been practicing immigration law exclusively since 1988. She is a recognized authority in highly complex areas of immigration and nationality law. She has lectured at embassies, served on panels, appeared on television, and been interviewed by newspapers on important aspects of immigration and nationality law. Ms. Mirbagheri Smith has been qualified as an expert in immigration law at disciplinary hearings conducted by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, Board on Professional Responsibility. She has also served as counsel on many high profile immigration cases. Ms. Mirbagheri Smith is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law following an undergraduate career at Chatham University in which she graduated magna cum laude and was selected to become a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She is trilingual in English, Farsi, and French. In addition to practicing immigration and nationality law throughout the U.S., she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
